Student Leadership & Mentoring Programs

TABPHE Corpus Christi has participated in youth mentoring events, camps and programs over the past 10 years. Leadership camps such as "Girls Stepping Up & Out" and "Boys to Men: Manning Up" were created Lois Jefferson (Coach J) with the City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department. With a partnership formed between the two groups, a camp was held in the Fall of Spring of every year and concluded with a joint camp in October 2016. The joint camp was renamed the "Lois R. Jefferson Leadership Series" and included a dedication to Coach J after her retirement. For details/pictures of the previous camps, please check our TABPHE Corpus Christi Archives.

TABPHE Corpus Christi has since moved to creating a mentoring program at West Oso High School. The mentoring program will kick off during the Spring 2018 semester. To volunteer or participate in this program, please email tabphecc@yahoo.com.
